A new family matches Group C with an old Delaware Pierce line.  They have their closest match with another family in Group C with Delaware ties also.

The oldest known ancestor of this family,  William H. Pearce, was born c. 1851 in New York.  Both of his parents were born in England.

A match in Group V of another descendant of Abraham Pierce of Mass, an old New England Pierce family in our project.

Please read our new exciting DNA success story under the "Our Community" link.  It is a great example of how DNA can be used to uncover the unknowns related to an adoption.  Exactly where the adoptee will fit into the Pierce family is unknown, but hopefully that mystery will be solved soon.

This Pierce family migrated from County Tipperary, Ireland to Prince Edward Island, Canada in 1842.  Family tradition places them previously in England.

Our newest Crawford match in group C is an adoptee searching for the identity of his biological parents.  He is a perfect match with the modal markers for Capt. Michael Pierce and virtually all of his dna matches are with Pierces.  It is very likely that his father was a Pierce.  He is actively continuing to search for the identity of his biological parents using dna.

This Pierce family has as its oldest known ancestor Lawrence Pierce, born 1783 in New Hampshire.  Ezra Pierce from New Hampshire, a descendant of Capt. Michael Pierce, may be Lawrence's father.

Another family match for our largest Pierce dna group.

This family's oldest known ancestor is Alfred Pierce Sr., born 1813-1816 in New York.

This new Pearse family has a line from Dorset England.
